There must always be a first post, so here it is. My name Milak and this is my site, as you can see I play Everquest and aside from a 5 year break I have been playing since 1999.  I came back in April this year after hearing a comment or two from my friend Felgor about some of the positive changes that have come to the game since I had left.

I started this log today really out of boredom. I sit at work all day jumping from web site to web site trying to find something new to read, some of it EQ other times is gaming news or politics.  In my searches I have found a serious lack of Everquest related news and blogs sites out there. There is still alot of players in the game but it seems most are not talking on the web anymore. So here is my feeble attempt bring forth discussion again by talking about it myself if anybody will listen.  As we go I will probrably add more contributors to the site, and from time to time add in new categories of discussion.

So who is MIlak really?  Milak is currently a 79th level Necromanacer on the Prexus server. I started Milak when “The Ruins of Kunark” came out way back when and he has been my main ever since.  I used to play a human warrior named Calaorn before the expansion and he actually made it up into the 40’s before I retired him. Yes yes 40’s is nothing these days but back before the expansions 40’s was respectable and 50 was uber. Back then I used to be able to play 6 hours a night without any problems. These days I’m lucky if I can get 2 hours in a couple nights a week without eathier falling asleep or being called away by the wife. Like many EQ players before me I have also succumbed to the facts of life, and playing a video game 6 hours a day just isn’t feasible anymore.  So I’m a casual player now, probrably have been for quite awhile and just didn’t admit it to myself. I used to be able to go on a raid before I took my break, but was never able to break into a raiding guild due to thier scheduling.  These days I log in Milak for an hour or two and solo for exp, sometimes dragging a boxed alt along for a change.  Look me up sometime, you may catch me on in the evenings (EST).  That’s all for now more to come ..

Oh and the name of the site may change, I’m not sure what to call it yet.
